One of the greatest new-fangled tools are project management and productivity tools.
Below are the three most popular are, along with links to basic features and pricing and a picture of their typical board:

Use the above information to decide which tool suits the entrepreneur and their business the best. Or, here are links of two different comparison combinations of the four tools:
Each of these works pretty much the same...You can define, add and edit projects. You can assign tasks and sub-tasks to projects. You can assign high/medium/low priority. You can add a project manager. You can add collaborators. You can assign dates. Any of these project parameters can be changed, moved or edited easily.
In all three, you can typically view the projects on a “board” or as a list.
The most important thing to understand is that productivity tools really DO help if you use them appropriately and often. They do a great job of organizing work, and they also add things to one’s plate. In other words, make the case to yourself and the entrepreneur that if you sign up for any of these tools, you need to USE them.
If people aren’t using it, that’s commonly known as wasting money. And, vis-à-vis your relationship with the entrepreneur, keeping an eye on where money is going will also be key to you building trust by looking out for the executive. Remember, you’re like a second brain, a watchdog and an all-around trustworthy confidante. This is just another part of how you’ll take care of the affairs of the business. The executive will always be grateful that you’re being accountable for their money like you would your own. That spells T-R-U-S-T.
The final summary about project management tools and software is training, training and more training. Not only should you (or some other accountable person) train everyone who will be using this tool, but you should also assign one person who is THE Project Manager. It sounds redundant, but, in our experience, the assignment of this role often makes the difference between success and failure in the use of the PM tool.
