  • Use language that communicates a higher level of professionalism and decency. You set the tone, not the customer. The use of positive words and inflection will prevail.


  • Your voice should be strong but sensitive. Be an example of the conversation you want to have. Act like an authority of the business, and a friend to the customer.


  • You are the eyes and ears of the executive. You’ve earned that position and can use that  responsibility to build better relationships with employees and customers. 


  • Being responsive means thinking and acting quickly. In business communication, customer problems are a priority. Make it clear you understand their problems.


  • Businesses are about providing service, as well as making money, building connections, and being useful. Take care of your business by serving it well.
